I covered Abacus because it was the only bank to be prosecuted for mortgage fraud in the wake of the ‘08 crisis, when America’s finance sector was drowning in fraudulent loans. They a default rate of just 0.3%, not “one penny” of loss, and were acquitted: https://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/…
