A few people ask me for book recommendations because I say, read a lot of books. I actually mean read a lot, not just recommended books. Ideas in books work differently depending on what other ideas you have, some of which come from other books, most, from you're own thinking

The statement is a personal communication between two individuals discussing book recommendations. It does not engage with public issues, debates, or discussions that contribute to civic dialogue. The tone is casual and the intent is to express a personal commitment to reading more from a list of recommended books.
