@mtaibbi “Settlers” not required. The British did this all over the planet. Some places they colonized (Americas) some places they didn’t (India, China.) shouldn’t you know this stuff???

@mtaibbi Of course you can. You can militarily control, develop a local ruling class under your control, get hold of pertinent resources and then have the subject local population direct the resources back to the metropole. Classic form of colonialism

@mtaibbi Respectfully, "I don't know a lot about this issue" is a bullshit excuse. 1/ bc you don't actually HAVE to have intimately studied the decades of tit-for-tat in order the understand the very basic, underlying concepts of ethnic cleansing, genocide, settler colonization, apartheid

The statement '@JohnRain280682 @LordDSofCanada “Coloniality” lol. “Invites us to make space for…” Who can read this shit?' is dismissive and derogatory towards the topic of coloniality and the language used in discussing it. The tone is mocking and does not contribute constructively to the discourse on colonialism and its impacts.
