@mtaibbi The more useful members NATO has, the more powerful NATO becomes. NATO is safer with Ukraine in the alliance.

We have to act if a NATO country is attacked, a heavy obligation that among other things carries nuclear risk. That promise is reserved for countries where it’s in our direct national interest to make that sacrifice. Would you send your kids for Ukraine? I wouldn’t.
