Can confirm. I’d add that while there are many lobbies that pressure Congress, none constantly demand that members violate core principles of equality and justice like AIPAC does. There’s enormous resentment built up over it, and AIPAC is rightly terrified of the levee breaking.

An unspoken secret in Congress is that much of the reflexive, blind, unconditional vote support for nearly any Israeli gov action isn’t from actual agreement.

It’s from fear.
