@norler71 I’d like to see exactly what we’re talking about first. This is all based on “two people with knowledge of the dismissals.” Were they barred from their offices or did the emails just say they were on their way out?

@mtaibbi It's not about being a "fan" of how they were done or if the IGs were doing a good job (in your opinion.) It's that the removals broke a federal law.
We want you to care about - and write about - that.

As for the IG “purges,” I’m not a fan of the way they were done (not sure the point of bypassing the Senate notification), but I will say that with a few exceptions, the IGs haven’t done a good job recently, including some of Trump’s own picks.
