@The__Pigman @mtaibbi The point I'm try to lead to with my questions is that sometimes race & gender can *sometimes* legitimately be part of what people use to determine who to hire.

Maybe this is one of those times? Maybe there are other times too? Idk but Matt's comments, especially the deleted...

I guess the idea is actors can pretend to be anything, but “Home Alone” wouldn’t have worked with Richard Farnsworth in the lead.

The statement in question is a response to a conversation about diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in hiring and casting decisions, which are public issues. The statement itself, however, is a simple denial of deleting a comment and does not engage substantively with the public issues being discussed.
