@XerifiedNobody @mtaibbi The government isn’t allowed to censor speech. By extension, it can’t outsource censorship to a third party. If a third party acts on behalf of the state, it IS the state.

Imagine if the government hired a private police force to search your home without a warrant. Same concept.

The AP doesn’t have to print “Gulf of America” and Trump doesn’t have to invite them in the White House.

That’s not censorship. Nor was Biden kicking the NY Post out of a WH event.

It was censorship when the White House successfully lobbied Twitter to remove Alex Berenson.…
