Try to get this through your head: I can’t stand this subject. I don’t like to read about it and especially don’t like to listen to people argue about it. So why would I talk about it? To annoy myself? And how the hell could I be compromised? I’ve never covered this

@TheRealJohnSeal @mtaibbi This hasn't stopped various other commentators in his general lane. Glenn Greenwald has been very outspoken, for instance. I think there's something else going on - Taibbi isn't afraid of his subscribers, he's compromised in some other way.
