Apart from the fact that it reads like fourth-rate fiction and the FBI knew it was problematic before the election, you can't use an unverified paid campaign document to obtain spy authority on a presidential candidate. That shouldn't need explaining.

@mtaibbi Aren’t you missing the point entirely? It was claimed (in the tweet that @MaximumK75753 responded to) that everyone *at the time* knew it was fake begging the question why Clinton would pay for it.

That it was proven false does nothing to address the initial assertion.
