@GiveWarAChanceX @LivemusicCJ Yes — Nirvana and Pearl Jam supplanted the metal bands from the 1980s for me at the time. But as time has wore on I find myself more attuned with Metallica/GnR/Def Leppard etc.

@RonDeSantis I used to like GnR a lot more back then. Metallica are still top from that era imo.

Epic year — and it signaled the evolution from metal/hair rock towards grunge/alternative rock.

I’d take Appetite for Destruction and Master of Puppets if I had to choose between albums from the mid-to-late 80s vs the early 90s…
