He whooped Dave Winfield’s ass right there on the pitchers mound in the Astrodome. It was classic.

@RonDeSantis Ron…Go watch the very entertaining movie/documentary “Fastball” — they break down the number of different ways they tried to measure the fastball through the decades, interview the best players that had to hit these dominant pitchers, and then they arrive at an answer.

What about Nolan Ryan? Anybody throwing harder than Nolan, who could hit 100mph on the old (slower) ray gun?

@RonDeSantis Ron I love you but Cy Young pitched in the 1890s. Too much velocity and break put more stress on arms today. I agree the ‘100 pitch’ rough limit per start is dumb though.
