@RonDeSantis Eliminate all homestead property taxes. Make up the lost revenue by increasing taxes on non-homestead property like second/vacation homes and investment properties (think BlackRock and rentals.)

Good response.

The whole reason we need to push for a constitutional amendment on property taxes is precisely because they are local, not state, taxes.

The state of Florida is not assessing home values, setting the mileage rate, or imposing ad valorem taxes.
