Another indication that we have (at least for a while) entered a period of diminishing returns.

True AGI could probably reason past this apparent plateau, but perhaps this is what you get if your whole technology is based on mimicry rather than reasoning.

Logarithmic Growth showed up just before the "singularity", unless there is a new paradigm, the current one looks pretty asymptotic to human level, unsurprisingly given it's based on minimizing entropy using massive datasets at human reasoning level of mid-quality. @GaryMarcus ?

Interesting how in all these domains AI is asymptoting at roughly human performance - where's the AI zooming past us to superintelligence that Kurzweil etc. predicted/feared?
