@GaryMarcus I think the key question is whether you can build AGI this way at all. Because if it is feasible, then $100 billion and several gigawatts would still be a bargain, given that you would only need to make this investment once. After that, AGI would be self-sustaining and advancing.

Absolutely absurd. If we can’t build AGI for < $100 billion, with a power budget of several gigawatts, we are building AGI wrong.
