different creatures have different world models in part because of how they evolved.

@yudapearl @sejnowski @AlisonGopnik i think long term memory is a prerequisite for a stable world model, but that a stable world model is a structuring of long term memory that needs to be part of system that can extract and maintain appropriate knowledge.
akin to in software: memory is a substrate for data

I too am finding it increasingly hard to see GenAI as a net positive as a society.
And what’s more, all of the costs are being borne by society, not those who make and distribute GenAI.
