@GaryMarcus What about all the work being done with memory and multi agent AI? That has been going crazy. Models alone are not all that makes up AI.

No, we are not currently in a period of exponential growth.

GPT-4 is over a year old; nothing has exponentially improved upon it, despite an entire extremely well-capitalized industry trying.

There was a great jump; now there is perhaps a plateau.

@GaryMarcus @theinformation I get what you're saying and I don't even necessarily disagree. I'm just saying that the tech from then to now is at least an order of magnitude better than it was.

This growth is still happening exponentially. If it's not good enough today, it very well could be tomorrow.
