What seems like maybe the single most compelling commercial application of generative AI is losing money, presumably because of the considerable expenses in running the queries.

Generative AI still looks to me like a solution in search of a problem.

@GaryMarcus I was listening to a podcast with the head of Anthropic and when he was asked about the actual use cases in business to justify the valuations of these companies, the answer was basically "people will figure out valuable use cases..."
