@GaryMarcus I had thought that's going to be called Llama 4, but either way, okay. Still, I'm not sure. I don't think OpenAI is sitting on its hands. I share all your concerns generally, but these things can get a *lot* better while remaining defective in a basic way.

@librarythingtim I assume Naveen meant the fully trained model, which Zuckerberg seems prepared to release, perhaps a few months hence.

@GaryMarcus Naw. You've noted yourself how benchmarks are meaningless. Llama3 is good. It is not in the top league, whatever the benchmarks say. Play with a while. I at least am not impressed.

I don’t think everyone has comprehended the massive disruption and distortion that is going to happen in the Gen AI market due to Llama3. Moats will be destroyed and investments will go to zero.

Just like everything in Gen AI, this will all happen fast.
