@Sirrawb @GaryMarcus I think that is an important point. If cars all communicated with each other, and the grid / road network, we'd be further along.

@GaryMarcus So much tech going into autonomy when it seems like we can accomplish more with centralization (cars controlled by computer based traffic system of a city rather than each car driving itself through AI).

The only thing blindingly obvious to everybody by now should be that Tesla is nowhere near achieving autonomy. And I mean nowhere. In fact, no one is any close, even Waymo, but Tesla is just comically far from it.
