@GaryMarcus let's focus on an AI problem here and now: self driving cars.
We all wish for self driving cars, but the core concern is safety. no one wants anyone to get hurt, and safety is a core requirement. Likewise, AI safety risks will addressed when they appear, not before.

when I have asked before, not one e/acc has listed a single negative externality that would make them hesitate, even in principle.

@GaryMarcus we care Gary, we just don't agree on the risks of AI.
we want positive outcomes and if we encounter problems with AI they will be handled and solved in turn when they arise.

we are not so different my friend.

Accelerationists are completely indifferent to the many negative externalities of AI, both current and future.

So many people in so many areas of life will be affected, and the accelerationists just don’t care.
