@GaryMarcus OpenAI is likely delaying GPT-5 due to the law of diminishing returns in scaling, accuracy issues, and infrastructure challenges. The transformer architecture needs grounding -> neuro-symbolic infrastructure, and high costs to run LLMs as big as GPT-5 likely raise ROI concerns.

Why hasn’t OpenAI released GPT-5?

Is it technical problem (they haven’t got it to work well enough yet), a safety issue (works already, but worried about safety), a political issue (no lie, I have heard this more than once) or something else?
