@marwilliamson This is of course a massive generalization and I am not arguing that the economy is good by any metric, or that there aren't a lot of people genuinely struggling. But its hard to talk about one without the other. They feed into each other.

@marwilliamson That's fair, my only point is: there is a massive underbelly of America who wastes thousands of dollars on luxury food deliveries, weed and booze, and online shopping, only to turn around and complain that "the economy isn't fair to them". The issue is more cultural than economic

@ronald_dole17 Not talking about handouts. I’m talking about the creation of an economically just society where far more people have an opportunity to get into the game. That’s the only way to a thriving middle class.

@marwilliamson What about the studies on lottery winners? Most of them blow it and end up in the same financial situation as before. You can give people a stable set of circumstances, but there are huge underlying mental health issues in our country that some extra cash won't fix.
