@GaryMarcus I see solutions coming. I’m sure they will work in practice. Whether or not they will be “principled” would be in the eyes of the beholder.

@boazbaraktcs i realize that is what you meant. I still don’t see *principled* solutions, and I have seen these problems persist for a quarter century, with many broken promises along the way.

do you see *principled* solutions forthcoming?

@boazbaraktcs I think the West Coasters have not fully reckoned with how much distribution shift continues to plague reliability, and still lack a robust solution to that.

They also lack a principled solution to problems of factuality.
