@marwilliamson And many people chose ANY appearance of system upending vs status quo. We know it’s just a ruse and money/power grab, but Dems failed at even appearing to address systemic issues. And that’s because they’re too busy fighting to sustain status quo for their own benefits.

@marwilliamson Marianne, I’m well aware! They’ve cut out the middle man. But the impasse for Dems re: putting up formidable opposition is that they’re still beholden to donors. Plus the reason we’re here is they allowed DT to co-opt and exploit working class rhetoric…
