I just read this week that Softbank has to BORROW the money to invest in this, which seems insane to me.

@DHuskytron @ChombaBupe @GaryMarcus @TrueAIHound @Oliver_H_Vagner I think part of Microsoft's decision to pull back on data centre development is they are not seeing the returns for this investment, and DeepSeek has highlighted these models don't have to cost this much (allegedly).
