I grew up in the 80s in the heyday of shopping malls. Now 30% are going to close in the next 4 years which will have a disastrous effect on local property values. We should try to help malls transition to new uses wherever possible.

The statement 'I do love malls' is a personal expression of affection for malls and does not engage substantively with the public issue of mall closures or their economic impact. It lacks engagement with the broader discussion about the future of malls and their role in communities.
