Tomorrow, I fly to São Paulo to join other lovers of free speech to protest censorship, including the X ban. There's a chance I'll be arrested. It's worth the risk. The greatest threat to our freedom doesn't come from totalitarians. It comes from our fear of them.

Maybe it’s legal or maybe it’s illegal. The courts will decide. But it’s not right. And it’s not in the spirit of our nation’s commitment to free speech. And most everyone praising this action knows it’s not right and are succumbing to baser motives.

The US government didn’t censor anyone, said the media. But it did. Not only that, it worked with other nations to do so. Now, the US government has not only repudiated censorship, it’s put free speech at the center of its foreign policy. Thank you and bravo @SecRubio !
