Auditors found "a high level of noncompliance."
That's a nice way of saying that people are breaking the law and stealing the public's money — all while killing homeless people.

To hide the corruption, LA officials have made it impossible to track $2.4 billion spending on homelessness. The city is paying people to house and care for the homeless without checking to see if it's working. And, obviously, it's not working. That makes the whole thing a scam.

Closing the Department of Education will hurt kids, say Democrats. The evidence suggests the opposite. The Dept. of Ed. promoted pseudoscientific alternatives to the science of reading & direct instruction of math. The result? A catastrophic decline in student performance.

The conventional wisdom not so long ago was that Trump was either doomed to irrelevance or prison. Now, he's a world-historical figure, ushering in a new era of populist nationalism. The irony is that he wouldn't be playing that role had Democrats not tried to put him in prison.

First the media said it was wrong for DOGE employees not to work for the agencies they were auditing. Now they’re saying it’s wrong for DOGE employees to work for them. Their schizophrenia is proof that their real concern is keeping the bureaucracy unaccountable to the people.
