Nationalism is fascism, say the media. That's ridiculous, says a leading scholar of both. Nationalism gives people dignity. The real threat to freedom is not from nationalists but rather anti-Trump elites whose hatred & anger at losing power has become "a kind of mental illness."

The statement is promotional, encouraging subscriptions to support journalism and access content. It does not engage substantively with public issues or debates.
