Obviously no system can do these yet, but it's not crazy imo to think we will hit those by 2029. (Also not crazy to think we won't.)

Who is moving the goalposts? In an essay called Dear Elon Musk, I laid out clear criteria for AGI in May 2022. At the time the Twitter community - and the people who invented the term — agreed the criteria were fair.

NONE of the tests I laid out have been solved.

sometimes, the term "AGI" feels pointless

WHY?

with the insane level of progress daily, it already seems like AGI has been achieved.

- it doesn’t have a clear definition
- we keep shifting the goalpost

so maybe what we're now calling AGI is actually ASI?
