@GaryMarcus In case I'm being unclear: I'm agreeing with you. Even in my case, it'd be silly to say that the AI is doing most of the work. Coding is not just typing.

@GaryMarcus I start writing a function, it guesses what I'm doing, it fills in the rest, and I accept it and probably tweak it a little.

So, byte count, it wrote more than I did, just by statistically guessing what comes next.

But that isn't a reasonable way to come to a count.

@GaryMarcus I think it depends on whether you use a sensible or "bulk byte count" metric for "written by AI versus a person".

When I'm coding (hobbyist, so my patterns aren't the same as a real pro of course) I'm doing 100% of the actual heavy lifting, but the AI is doing a lot of the
