Before I go to bed, I want to share one important observation: for all we know, we could be just one unlock and 3-6 weeks away from levitation, interstellar travel, immortality, or room temperature superconductors, or perhaps even all four!

@GaryMarcus Nick sounds so pessimistic tbh. If we discover something we don’t even know what then maybe AGI in few years. Same you could say about levitation, immortality, or anything else.
Fact is that there is no clear path to AGI and that makes every prediction impossible

Happy to bet Nick Bostrom $100,000 proceeds to charity, that I can find a dozen problems that human can readily solve that AI’s cannot reliably solve, two years from today.
