@GaryMarcus Personally I don't see the difference. And I'm an artist since I can walk upright. Looking at these tools, all I see is them doing exactly what we do.

@alexutopia No great artists extrapolate all the time, going beyond just simple interpolations between what they have seen.

If that’s all they do, they aren’t considered great.

@GaryMarcus So do we. Young artists imagine themselves capable of creating something new, but every master knows, all we do is copy patterns, combine and rearrange them.

That's what intelligence is. How else would it work? Magic? Divine inspiration? There is no original thought.
