@marwilliamson every one on the far left says this, that we are such a horrible country and everyone in those countries we “destabilized” wants to come here and be taken care of by us facists.

An issue most Americans are unaware of is how much U.S. foreign policy over the last fifty years, particularly in Latin America, has led directly or indirectly to the destabilization of economies and societies from which so many immigrants now flee.

The statement 'Um, no...' is a brief and dismissive response to a conversation about U.S. foreign policy and its impact on immigration. It does not provide substantive engagement with the topic or contribute to the civic dialogue.
