@GaryMarcus @VraserX @shaunralston We need to point at the lack of clothes on the various emperors placed before us. There is clear motive to over-sell the future promise. It's trained into the DNA of entrepreneurs to do this.

Gary won't always be right but I'm willing to bet that he will be more right than wrong

– o3 and o4-mini-high have slashed error rates and run faster and cheaper than earlier GPT-4 systems.

1. i predicted specifically that pretraining scaling would run out and that we would need new innovations. it did and we have and still do.
2. i didn’t say gpt-4 was the end; i said it would be hard to get to GPT-5 and take
