LLMs are like the (Kahneman) System I that drives most animals; humans took over the world when they added System II.

@GaryMarcus You lose me with the idea they'll go out of fashion. I'll listen to an "over-hyped" stance, but LLMs are already too helpful to go out of fashion. As-is.

I was using em dashes long before LLMs were born—and intend to keep using those dashes long after LLMs go out of fashion.
