@GaryMarcus you should also highlight:

1. they got an actual gold, as in IMO verified their methodology and results officially. (OAI did not, just a 'trust me bro')

2. google is actually releasing this model, imminently (to trusted tester) as Demis notes in the tweets. OAI isnt

Incredible how little people are talking about this when it is essentially the same result as OpenAI (literally the same score), just reported a couple days later, presumably out of deference to the IMO and its participants.

OpenAI burned a lot of capital in the math community
