@marwilliamson I admire your persistence in attempting to shine the light of truth on the droves of people who clearly cannot see it since their heads are buried so deep in the sand, exemplified by the incredibly ignorant comments on this thread.

As of now, anyone can be picked up by an Ice agent just because the Ice agent wants to arrest them. No paperwork needed. No real reason other than that they want to. No due process needed.

In practice, we are now a functioning police state.

The statement 'I appreciate that' is a simple expression of gratitude and does not engage substantively with the public issue being discussed, which is the concern about ICE agents and due process. It does not contribute to the civic dialogue or address societal issues directly.
