Videos of consequential events show their reality.

We rarely see victims of our wars: to hide the carnage. Factory farms made it illegal to film the savagery inside. Videos from Gaza show the atrocities.

Videos of Kirk's murder are horrific, and for that reason should be seen.

Honestly, it was very important for me to see the video. Defer to the family’s wishes, but the video did something in me that cannot be expressed by a simple write-up about it in the New York Times, which is the history most of the world will be left with without the video.
