None of this could have happened had not our democracy already been weakened by a toxic combination of an undue influence of money on our system and the naive complacency of our citizenry. 2/

Donald Trump has taken a hammer to our democracy and is leaving it in shambles. He does this at the behest of people who do not want it to work, who seek to overthrow democracy in order to turn our country into a corporate dictatorship. 1/
