@RunPrey @legaltweetz I don't think anything I say will persuade young people not to hate me if that's the online culture in which they're submerged. Learning to question narratives or sources (or deciding not to) is part of growing up. I've written extensively about why I've stood up on this issue,

@jk_rowling @legaltweetz I would like to formally ask you to write specifically to young girls: deep fans of your work, but who are conflicted because they hear online that they must hide their admiration or at the least separate the art from the artist. I've so far been gently explaining to my daughter.

@legaltweetz It's one of the very few debates where there's hardly any middle ground, other than general agreement that nobody should be persecuted for wanting to dress or look a certain way (within obvious limits. Thinking of that Canadian teacher with the enormous fake breasts. I am not

Interesting interview with @Glinner on @GBNEWS a few minutes ago about the trans debate. It's interesting how the tide is turning in his favour.
I've seen old friends who shunned him admit he has a point but that he was too blunt. Even that would was unthinkable a few years ago
