English is officially our national language, as it should be. Now it’s time to make sure our kids are actually proficient in reading & writing it. Today 70% of U.S. 8th graders are NOT proficient in reading & that’s unacceptable. We’re going to right the ship, starting in Ohio.

I don’t just want Ohio to be one of the better states in the Midwest, I want to it to be top state in the nation to create wealth, have kids, & give them a world-class education. But that means we need to compete: TX & FL are zero-tax states with far lower regulatory burdens.…

I’ve traveled Ohio & the nation. I’ve met a lot of small business owners & entrepreneurs who say they encounter too much red tape. But I haven’t met a single person who says we need more of it.
