On the other hand it’s easy to see Taylor’s motivation - he thinks he sold too low and now wants a redo. But that’s not how these things work. It’s not an option - it’s a sale.

The “couldn’t finance the deal” description doesn’t make sense - the franchise has appreciated in value. Any major bank would happily finance it. Lore just raised $700 million for a startup and is a billionaire. You think he can’t get ~$300 million for a sure thing?

Re: the Timberwolves it certainly looks like Taylor made a deal 3 years ago and is trying to back out because the value of the franchise has gone up during the period.
