@GaryMarcus It's amusing (and tragic) to watch history repeat itself and the billions of dollars lost not trying to consult with people that have been working on AI for over a couple decades and have seen this before.

@GaryMarcus This was exactly my experience working on black box algorithms in the early 2000's. Sold BIG on hype. We built heuristics based tools to fix the nonsense. Customers came back and said "throw out the black box algorithm! We just want those tools!
