When I first ran for office in 2016, I made canceling student debt a centerpiece of my platform.

When I got to Congress, I introduced the first bill to cancel student debt and began pushing the next President to cancel that debt.

It’s incredible to see the progress we've made.

As one of the 44 million people with student debt—I know what it feels like to struggle to make ends meet while trying to make payments on time.

I have fought to make sure others don’t fall into the same traps as I did and ensure no one is held back because of exorbitant debt.

I have been hearing from constituents across my district who have seen their student debt canceled and how life changing it has been.

Good.

Just a few years ago, I was one of the lone voices pushing for student debt cancellation and was called radical. Now, it’s a mainstream view within the Democratic Party.

We have to keep speaking out and keep pushing until every penny of student debt is canceled. (Thread)
