@mikecane @pquiggles I follow @GaryMarcus and a whole lot of other ML/AI researchers. But I appreciate the recommendations nonetheless. I can recommend tech journalist @bcmerchant, @mer__edith the founder of privacy messaging app Signal, @mmitchell_ai and @SashaMTL who both work at Hugging Face.

@mikecane @pquiggles @GaryMarcus @ylecun @rahil Did you mean @Rahll? If so we already follow one another. But yes, the courts will decide on the matter, but that doesn't negate that harm is happening right now.

He's not alone. @kortizart, @JonLamArtand, @TheGlazeProject and many more are vocal on the matter.

@mikecane @pquiggles @GaryMarcus @ylecun I get why you'd stay out of it, but currently the harm that these models are doing to creator markets is overwhelming.

Both for consumers and copyright holders, the websites the information was siphoned from etc. There's absolutely no upside to artists whose work is ingested.
