@GaryMarcus I don’t at all think that. I think AGI right now is necessarily bad and that maybe if we are very successful in building better institutions over the next decade we can have safe AGI in my son’s lifetime.

@HiFromMichaelV Your hidden assumption is that AGI is necessarily bad; I think we don’t know and shouldn’t simply presume that. And bad actors could do a lot of harm with current non-AGI tools.
