@GaryMarcus @WIRED I say it all the time: Kurzweil’s actual track record on predictions is abysmal. I have been keeping a spreadsheet, it’s just sad.

Why isn’t anyone talking about that?

For years, even as recently as April, Kurzweil projected 2029 for AGI; now he is expressing uncertainty for the first time, backpedaling a few years to 2032 @WIRED.
