@marwilliamson I grew up in the mid-late 90s and I remember Holocaust survivor’s giving us speeches at school. I also remember learning and reading about slavery, Jim Crow, WWI/II… I had to memorize the entire MLK speech & Lincoln Getty address speech and recite it in English class…

Tim Walz argued as a teacher for a curriculum of kids learning about the Holocaust in the context of historical human rights abuses. He was right. Every American child should learn about the history of slavery and Jim Crow in the United States as well.
